SPP/NFE Agreements facilitate the availability of Sandia’s unique resources to non-federal entities.

To support its missions, Sandia engineers and scientists conduct research in many areas. Many of the technologies, processes, and special technical expertise they have developed have been applied to solving problems in the private sector through mutually beneficial technology partnerships.

Under Strategic Partnership Projects, Non-Federal Entity (SPP/NFE) Agreements, Sandia can conduct work for a non-federal entity sponsor on a reimbursable basis. A non-federal entity can refer to private industry and individuals, state and local governments, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, international organizations, foreign governments, and foreign companies. As sponsors under an SPP/NFE Agreement, these non-federal entities can receive access to Sandia’s unique capabilities, facilities, and equipment to validate or improve technologies.
