Research program opens doors for grad students

The DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research Program is looking for graduate students to take positions at Sandia and change the world with their contributions. Each year, the program supports about 100 doctoral students by funding positions for them within the national laboratories complex.

With a record number of Sandia’s workforce now working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Labs’ ergonomic team has helped make the transition to a home office safe for employees. Sandia's ergonomics professionals are fully engaged on a daily basis with educating, training and assisting the workforce using the principles of ergonomic science.

NM distillery partners with Sandia on hand sanitizer

In response to widespread shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic, Wayward Sons Craft-Distillery in Santa Fe has reconfigured its operations to produce a hand sanitizer. The owners worked with Sandia through the New Mexico Small Business Assistance program to test and confirm that their product meets standards set by the World Health Organization and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
