Weaponeer Dan Summers has retired after 36 years at Sandia and more than 53 years in the nuclear weapons complex. His career has spanned much of the R&D and stockpile modernization and surveillance activities of the nation’s NW programs.
Rodney Wilson receives NNSA Gold Award
Rodney Wilson, former director of Sandia’s Center for Global Security and Cooperation, received the NNSA Administrator’s Distinguished Service Gold Award this year in recognition of his leadership and service to advance NNSA programs.

Sandia takes home six 2020 R&D 100 Awards
Sandia researchers have earned six R&D 100 Awards this year — three as sole winners and three with partner organizations — bringing the Labs’ total to 140 awards since 1976.
