
Cassie Gale is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in the Center for Global Security and Cooperation at Sandia National Laboratories. Cassie is Operations Manager of the Cooperative Monitoring Center (CMC) and leads the CMC’s Western Hemisphere portfolio.
As Operations Manager for the CMC, Cassie manages the organization’s internal operations and the Distinguished and Seminar Speakers Series, which host security scholars and practitioners across a wide range of security topics, including nuclear nonproliferation, WMD security, regional security, arms control, and many others. In her role as Western Hemisphere lead, Cassie engages with international partners on a broad spectrum of security issues, from nuclear nonproliferation to environmental security.
Cassie also supports implementation of the Voluntary Offer Agreement— between the United States and the International Atomic Energy Agency—at U.S. nuclear facilities. She also provides strategic support to the Safeguards Concepts and Approaches portfolio under the Office of International Safeguards (DOE/NNSA/NA-241). Cassie joined Sandia in 2014 to support its International Nuclear Security and Global Nuclear Security and Nonproliferation organizations—a role she held from 2014 to 2021.
Cassie holds B.B.A and M.B.A. degrees in Operations Management from the University of New Mexico. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified by Purdue University. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
