Despite its name, the US/German workshop is a focal point for researchers from several countries (including the United States, Germany, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Poland, and Australia) to regularly come together on the topic of radioactive waste disposal in salt formations. The in-person workshops are usually co-located with the annual NEA Salt Club meeting.
