Hundreds brave the heat to enjoy Grease and Gears car show

Alexandria Bates, who helped organize and plan the event, said participants registered nearly 100 cars this year. The event was open to all Sandia and Kirtland employees and their cars, trucks, street rods, rat rods and motorcycles.

<strong>GREEN GOBLIN</strong> — Jason Aleksander Georgievski shows off his 2020 Goblin DF Kit Car. The car show has a long history at Sandia but came to a halt in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It picked back up in 2024 and celebrated its third year on June 11.
