Will McNamara led a panel at RE+ Storage in Sacramento on July 1 titled “From Pilots to Deployment: Policy Pathways to Commercialize Long-Duration Storage.” Panelists included Emily Smith (Hydrostor), Brett Simon (e-Zinc), Mark Johnson (Form Energy), Jessie Cuilla Shea (Energy Dome), and John Hasar (Invinity Energy Systems). States nationwide are exploring ways to use multi-hour energy storage to improve the national electric grid. The panel discussed successful pilots, remaining challenges, and how industry and policymakers are shaping this evolving market.
