CCR Staff Honored for Achievements in Exascale Computing

Several members of Sandia’s Center for Computing Research have been recognized for their outstanding contributions as part of the leadership team of the Exascale Computing Project (ECP). This ambitious 7-year project, with a budget of $1.8 billion, involved collaboration among six DOE national laboratories to establish the world’s first sustainable exascale ecosystem. The Secretary’s Honor Award is one of the highest non-monetary recognitions that can be bestowed on DOE employees and contractors for significant and lasting impacts on the DOE’s mission. The team from Sandia included the following CCR staff: Erik Boman, Ron Brightwell, Bill Hart, Mike Heroux, Rob Hoekstra, Clay Hughes, Curt Ober, Ron Oldfield, Siva Rajamanickam, Jim Stewart, Mark Taylor, Christian Trott, and Jim Willenbring.
