Machine Intelligence and Vis
The Machine Intelligence and Visualization department conducts cutting-edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence for national security applications, including the advanced visualization of data and results. Our mission is to research, develop, and deploy methods that are credible, robust, and help decision makers in a variety of domains. Specific focus areas include geospatial analytics, tensor methods, intelligent agents, knowledge representation, open-source data analytics, and computational social science, though we incorporate a wide variety of skill sets in our work. We interact and collaborate with a broad range of Sandia staff and government customers while also maintaining a research presence in the external professional community by collaborating with both universities and industry. Members of the department publish peer-reviewed literature, participate in professional societies, and referee for conferences and journals.
