Will the MLDL Workshop be video-streamed and/or recorded?

All presentations will be pre-recorded and sessions will play the pre-recorded presentations, with a live Q&A following.

Is there a cost to attend the workshop?

No, there is no fee to attend. The workshop is virtual.

Do I have to register for this workshop?

Yes, you must register to attend any of the Workshop talks: Registration Page.

Can I participate if I don't work at Sandia?

Yes! You can register as an attendee or submit a talk to present regardless of your professional affiliations. Some sessions may have restricted access, but the schedule will clearly specify.

Will the tutorials be video-streamed and/or recorded?

Tutorials will be held live, with streaming between rooms in both California and New Mexico sites as necessary.

Presenter Questions

Will we be presenting live during the Microsoft Teams sessions?

No, all presentations must be pre-recorded (with the exception of Keynotes) using either Power Point, MS Teams or another method. Presenters are expected to attend the live Q&A scheduled after their presentations.

How do I submit my pre-recorded talk?

You will recieve an email to let you know that you have been selected. You will be provided with a link to submit your pre-recorded talk.

Will I be presenting in person at Sandia National Laboratories?

No, all presentations will be online.

Do presentations need to go through information release?Yes, submissions for the public workshop must go through the presenters affiliated information release process. This is required for all presentation materials so that Sandia can manage and post on our public facing website.

I'd still like to submit but ran out of time to get through Information Release or I didn't realize I needed information release for my abstract?That is ok, submit a place holder on our submission form on the submission page include your name, and relevant information as part of the submission, but instead of the title and abstract simply put "See Email" as the title, and abstract. Then simply email us wg-mldl-ws-submit@sandia.gov (and make sure we know to connect the two) DO NOT submit sensitive information or information that has not gone through information release to the public/public facing submission page.
