Hundreds of Sandians at the California site made their way out to the Nucleus Event Pad on April 22 to mark Earth Day and enjoy camaraderie, education and food.

Sandia hosted the event in partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, offering things like a plant exchange, so people could bring propagated clippings, established plants, seed packets, soil and pots and get a new plant in return.

Lunch vendors included Jackos Tacos, Crazy Empanadas and HP Tacos — which sold Asian fusion tacos — in addition to Butter & Batter Cookies, Lucky Dog Hot Sauce, and Hummus Heaven slinging tasty treats.
