Chat to Agentic Modeling – Conforming AI to you : Explore the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs) and learn how to harness their power to create specialized AI agents tailored for unique tasks. Students will discover techniques to design and deploy these agents using accessible tools, gaining skills to replicate and customize AI solutions for a variety of applications.
Circuit Playground : Experience programming like never before by working with Circuit Playground microcontrollers! Students will bring code to life by controlling colorful NeoPixels, sensing motion and temperature, playing sounds through speakers, and interacting with buttons and switches. This hands-on course offers a fun way to practice coding on real hardware and explore the exciting world of embedded systems.
Concepts of Cybersecurity & Programming : Step into the exciting world of technology by exploring the basics of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming, and command line interfaces. Students will learn how AI works, discover ways to protect information online, write simple programs, and navigate computers using command line tools—all through hands-on activities designed to build essential tech skills.
Creative Interventions: Computing with Makey Makey : Bring your ideas to life by turning everyday objects into interactive controllers! Using Makey Makey kits, students will explore physical computing by designing creative projects that combine art, technology, and coding. This hands-on course encourages innovation and problem-solving as students invent fun and unique ways to interact with computers.
Discovering Number Theory : Dive into the fascinating patterns hidden in numbers! This course introduces students to prime numbers, divisibility, and congruences. No prior coding needed. Learn these basics concepts through hands on programming and interactive discovery.
Dr. Me! Exploring the Human Body System : Dr. Me! offers students an engaging exploration of the human body, covering respiratory, circulatory, nervous, digestive, and musculoskeletal systems. Students will also discover the STEM path to a rewarding career in healthcare.
Everyday STEM : This course will cover 3 different topics- STEM in Finance, the Electromagnetic Spectrum, and Professional Skills
- STEM in Finance : Discover how math and technology power the world of finance! Students will explore concepts like budgeting, investing, and risk through fun simulations and learn how data analysis and algorithms help make smart financial decisions.
- What is the Electromagnetic Spectrum : Dynamic exploration of the world around you through the incredible expanse of radiative emissions that surround us everyday. See heat, feel energy waves, and come to understand foundational concepts that drive the technologies you use everyday.
- Professional Skills : Build essential skills for future STEM careers! This course focuses on communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management, helping students develop the professional habits and mindset needed to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and math fields.
Fermentation & Carbon Dioxide Measurements : Get hands-on with the science of fermentation by experimenting with yeast and different types of sugars! Students will observe how yeast produces carbon dioxide gas during fermentation, and learn how to measure and analyze results.
Fun with Algebra : Unlock the power of algebra to solve real-world problems! Students will master equations, inequalities, and functions through hands-on activities that connect math to everyday life and future careers.
Introduction to Aerospace : Explore the exciting world of aircraft flight! Students will learn the basics of aerodynamics, design and test paper airplanes, hovercrafts, and water rockets. Discover how engineers solve challenges to send aircraft and spacecraft above and beyond.
Introduction to Systems Programming : Dive into programming by creating a complete application using the powerful Rust language! Students will learn key concepts like variables, loops, input/output, functions, command-line interfaces, and logical thinking. This hands-on course is perfect for those ready to take their coding skills to the next level by building real-world software.
Mechanical Engineering : Build, test, and improve machines while learning how engineers balance competing factors! Students will discover principles of forces, motion, and energy by exploring mechanical devices like gears, levers, and simple robots. They’ll also explore optimization tradeoffs—making decisions to improve performance, cost, or durability—and gain insight into how engineers create efficient, effective tools used every day.
Python Arcade Workshop: Unleash your imagination by designing and coding your own computer games! Using easy-to-follow tutorials on Trinket.io, students will learn a variety of programming skills while creating games they can share and showcase with friends and family. Whether you’re new to coding or returning for more, this course offers fun challenges and opportunities to grow your skills in a supportive environment.
Robot Design and Programming : Step into the world of robotics by designing and programming a robot like those used in the FIRST Tech Challenge! Students will learn fundamental engineering principles, build a robot from the ground up, and program it to complete tasks and compete against other robots. This hands-on course combines creativity, teamwork, and technology for an exciting STEM experience.
STEM in the Garden : Discover the science behind gardening and how STEM skills help plants thrive! Students will explore biology, chemistry, and environmental science by planting seeds, measuring growth, testing soil, and using technology to monitor garden conditions. This hands-on course connects nature with STEM concepts, inspiring curiosity and innovation right in the garden.
Understanding the Genetic Code : Explore how genes control what cells do by acting like “on/off” switches! Students will learn how tiny changes in DNA can lead to big differences in how living things grow and function. Through an interactive activity, students will see these concepts come to life and understand the power of genetics in biology.
