Launched: Long Duration Energy Storage Evaluation & Tracking Tool

The Long Duration Energy Storage National Consortium, led by Sandia National Laboratories and recently transferred to Edison Electric Institute, released an interactive tool to visualize and assess multi-hour energy storage technologies and projects. The tool consolidates data from industry reports, academic studies, and expert insights, helping users filter and compare storage options based on key metrics. The resource supports decision-making to apply multi-hour storage technologies to increase the availability and resilience of national energy supplies. Users access a centralized platform to explore technology and project data. To keep information current, it is planned to update the tool twice a year. Luke McLaughlin, one of the developers from Sandia, will provide a tutorial at the LDES Consortium Annual Meeting, July 14-15.
