A power tower rises


<strong>SOLAR PLANS</strong> — A time-lapse camera, front right, has been placed on-site at the National Solar Thermal Test Facility to capture the construction of the <a href="https://energy.sandia.gov/programs/renewable-energy/csp/current-research-projects/gen-3-particle-pilot-plant-g3p3/">Generation 3 Particle Pilot Plant</a>, rendered on the right, to demonstrate integrated particle-based concentrating solar power with six hours of thermal energy storage.
