Distributional Health Impacts of Replacing Power-Plants with Energy Storage and Photovoltaic Power

(Sandia National Laboratories) Raw data in excel format to be submitted as supplemental material as part of a journal article submission titled “Distributional Health Impacts of Replacing Power-Plants with Energy Storage and PV”

Files:

Power-plant replacement results – These data include a list of powerplants in the continental U.S., how expensive each would be to replace with energy storage and photovoltaic power, and how much that could improve health outcomes for disadvantage communities.

Power plant analysis results by county – These data include a list of counties in the continental U.S., the number percent of people that live in each that are considered disadvantaged (DAC) and low-income, and the high and low estimates of the health impacts from the pollution from all power plants.

Power plant analysis results by facility – These data include a list of powerplants in the continental U.S., how much air pollution they produced in 2021, the calculated impact on people’s health from the EPA’s COBRA tool, and the percentage of that impact on people living in disadvantaged communities (DACs) and low-income people.

Communities with power plants – These data include a list of census tracts in the continental U.S., the number, total capacity, and total energy production (2021) of power plant facilities that are located in those tracts, if they have been identified as disadvantaged communities or not, and their populations in the 2010 census.
