Biography
Matthew has worked at Sandia since 2012. He is currently a Principal Member of the Technical Staff in the Radiation Modeling and Metrology department. Mathew co-leads efforts for the Neutron Gamma Energy Transport code (NuGET) and serves as program lead and PI for several other areas. He currently serves as the Neutron Environment Effects Lead for the Sandia Survivability Technical Expert Network. Matthew is actively involved with ASTM subcommittees E10.05 and E10.07.
Education
Matthew earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2007, including a minor in Mathematics. Advised by Jean Ragusa, he earned a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2009, with a thesis Application of a Constrained Optimization Technique to the Imaging of Heterogeneous Objects Using Diffusion Theory. Advised by Dr. Bill Charlton, he also earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2012, with dissertation Development of Technical Nuclear Forensics for Spent Research Reactor Fuel.
