Adriane leads a dynamic team at Sandia National Laboratories’ Center for Global Security and Cooperation, focusing on international partnerships to enhance research security and emerging technology. Her team provides regionally informed technical analysis to the US Government and supports national security priorities by establishing regulatory and policy frameworks for countries to implement risk-based controls.

In addition to her management role, Adriane directs the CMC, which promote scientific engagement for global security in the 21st century. Under her guidance, the CMC advances international collaboration through research partnerships, fellowships, and participation in Track 1.5 and Track 2 dialogues, complemented by workshops, training courses, and site visits.

With deep expertise in regional security and cooperative threat reduction, Adriane has worked extensively across South Asia and the Middle East. Her work spans scientist engagement, arms control, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) nonproliferation, U.S. export control law, insider threat mitigation, organizational and security culture.

Adriane’s research contributions cover conventional arms control, the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, regional security and confidence-building measures in the Middle East, Northeast Asia, and South Asia, as well as cooperative resource monitoring. Her current research interests include insider threat mitigation, security integration, conflict resolution, and international terrorism.

She joined Sandia in 2001 from the private sector. She and holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Political Science, along with a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in conflict resolution from the University of New Mexico. She recently celebrated 25 years of service to the nation at Sandia.
