Dr. Rodney K. Wilson retired from Sandia in 2020 after more than 39 years of service. At that time, he had been director of the CMC and Center for Global Security and Cooperation (CGSC) for nearly a decade. The CGSC develops systems engineering and technology solutions for U.S. government agencies responsible for non-proliferation and arms control, cooperative threat reduction, and international security.

Most notably, Dr. Wilson was awarded the NNSA Administrator’s Distinguished Service Gold Award in 2020 for exemplary contributions to programs that improved U.S. national security and created a more peaceful international community.

Dr. Wilson holds an M.S. in Theoretical Mechanics and a PhD in applied mechanics from the University of Illinois. He is a graduate of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government Program for Senior Executives in National and International Security. Dr. Wilson is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
