48th Polymeric Materials, Adhesives, and Composites Meeting

Hosted by Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California

Tuesday July 14th through Thursday July 16th, 2026

PolyMAC offers a biennial opportunity to discuss research, development, and applications of the wide variety of polymeric, organic, adhesive, and composite materials. All who work with these materials are welcome to attend and contribute via presentations, posters, and/or discussions.

The list of subject areas includes, but is not limited to:

  • Advanced Materials: synthesis, characterization, compounding, and new polymeric materials, adhesives, and composites
  • Aging and Compatibility: aging, compatibility, degradation, lifetime prediction and mechanisms
  • Characterization: advanced/new characterization techniques and capabilities
  • At-Risk-Materials: materials that may become obsolete due to legislative, business, or country of origin reasons, development of replacement materials, and upcoming specific needs
  • Modeling: modeling and simulations
  • Polymer AM: AM materials, chemistry/formulation development and manufacturing techniques
  • Polymer Physics: physical polymer chemistry and structure-property relationships of polymers
  • Qualification: qualification strategies and lessons learned

Presentations will be organized by subject area into oral and poster sessions based on the number of respondents. Oral presentations shall not exceed 15 minutes in length, including time for questions (5 min). Both unclassified and classified oral presentations are invited, but poster presentations must be unclassified.

As a reminder, all abstracts must be unclassified (CUI abstracts are welcome) and approved for release through your organization before submission. Please follow site guidelines for transmissibility restrictions for all submitted abstracts and presentations. Visit the Abstract Submission page for formatting details.
