Biography
Brian Hehr is a Principal R&D Scientist and Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories in the Applied Nuclear Technologies department, Org. 1384. Dr. Hehr earned a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from North Carolina State University in 2010. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in radiation transport, atomistic simulation, thermal neutron scattering cross section evaluation, and radiation effects in materials.
Brian received NNSA Defense Programs Awards of Excellence in CY 2014 and 2017. He has recently become involved in the IAEA-sponsored collaboration on Nuclear Data for Neutron Activation Analysis and Dosimetry.
