Defense Programs (DP) Risk Summits convene risk leaders from across the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) to drive more effective risk management practices aimed at enhancing the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) capability to maintain and modernize the nuclear weapons stockpile. Risk Summits aim to align risk management expectations, accelerate the adoption of proven methodologies, and strengthen risk management across the NNSA, sites and programs. By fostering open dialogue and knowledge sharing, Risk Summits bring together a high-performing, collaborative risk community that work to identify critical gaps, uncover cross-functional needs, and commit to delivering results enterprise-wide.
This year’s Risk Summit theme will focus on Risk Identification and feature a packed agenda with experiences designed to engage and advance attendees’ risk management practices. Agenda coming soon.
The DP Risk Summit will be held January 6-8, 2026 at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
Registration opens September 29, 2025 and closes December 5, 2025 at 5pm MST. Late registration will not be accepted.
