The DOE Office of Electricity Energy Storage Program works with Sandia National Laboratories to maintain the energy storage program website (www.sandia.gov/ess). This includes regularly highlighting accomplishments through News Notes. The following activities should be captured and promoted for News Notes:
- Published articles (e.g., journal, conference, technical reports, etc.)
- Speaking engagements (e.g., invited presentations, conference presentations, etc.)
- Awards
- Events hosted or organized by a national laboratory (e.g., conference, workshop, etc.)
- Publicity/marketing/communications releases
- New projects funded/awarded
- Community engagements
- Significant work updates (including patents)
A News Note is a brief article published on the News page that answers the following questions in paragraph form:
- Who did what and when? (NOTE: include the date the article was published, the date the presentation was made, the date that the award was received, etc.)
- Why was this important? Who cares?
- If a conference presentation/paper/journal paper, a few words about the high quality of the event/journal and how it validates the importance of the work (if applicable).
- Author affiliation and funding source?
