Black Leadership Committee engages middle and high school STEM students

SUMMER OUTREACH — Tineca Quintana and Joshua James distributed kits to families participating in education outreach this summer. Sandia’s Black Leadership Committee hosted the virtual Hands-On Minds-On Technologies Summer Youth Program on Saturdays in June for 50 middle and high school students. The program included volunteer and mentorship opportunities for employees and students in fun, hands-on science and engineering activities. Participants learned about the electromagnetic spectrum, chemistry, a circuit playground and a variety of STEM careers. (Photo by Cheryl Garcia)
