The Energy Storage Systems Safety and Reliability Forum (ESSRF) is an annual event hosted by Sandia National Laboratories. The forum focuses on the current state of energy storage safety and reliability by providing a platform for attendees to explore key challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions. The event features presentations and interactive discussions with a diverse group of experts representing various sectors, including energy storage and grid technology developers, utilities, integrators, testing and certification labs, national laboratories, and academia.
The 2025 ESSRF will place a strong emphasis on advancing energy resilience for locations within the United States and its territories that are severely impacted by natural disasters. The forum will focus on developing training platforms in collaboration with local universities and community programs that are leading efforts for energy resilience, particularly for new and growing energy storage industries. Aligned with its mission of excellence, the forum will feature panel discussions dedicated to promoting research and development while advancing energy resilience.
With a diverse group of attendees, including decision-makers, first responders, scientists, engineers, students, and educators from around the world, ESSRF will facilitate the establishment of collaborations between organizations with established energy programs, local universities, and research agencies, aiming to foster innovation, share best practices, and develop cutting-edge solutions to enhance the safety, reliability, and resilience of energy storage systems.
