where f_s = \min(\bar{f}_s,1) with \bar{f}_s defined as

\bar{f}_s=\begin{cases}\dfrac{T_{liq} - T}{T_{liq} - T_{sol}} & T < T_{liq} \\0 & T \geq T_{liq}, \end{cases}

where T is the temperature, \mu_{liq} is the viscosity of the liquid, T_{liq} is the liquidus temperature, T_{sol} is the solidus temperature and 4 \leq C \leq 8 is a model parameter.
