7.6.5.9.1. Banded_Wavelength

Syntax

Emissivity [{of} SpeciesName] = Banded_Wavelength [E0 = e0 | E1 = e1 | E2 = e2 | E3 = e3 | E4 = e4 | E5 = e5 | E6 = e6 | E7 = e7 | Wavelength_Band_Model = wavelength_band_model]

Scope

Aria Material

Summary

Banded wavelength emissivity.

Description

Computes emissivity as a sum over wavelength bands. This requires a ‘banded wavelength model’ block defined elsewhere which defines the band wavelengths and is referenced here using the ‘WAVELENGTH_BAND_MODEL’ argument. Emissivities of each band in the selected model (\varepsilon_i) must be provided as ‘E0’, ‘E1’, etc…

\varepsilon = \sum_i F_i \varepsilon_i

where the band fraction, F_i is calculated from the band start and end wavelengths (\lambda_{i,s} and \lambda_{i,e}) black body fraction (B) as

F_i = B(\lambda_{i,e}T) - B(\lambda_{i,s})
