Partnership Mechanisms

We routinely partner with other organizations to help transition our scientific discoveries and technologies to the marketplace. We also form collaborative research partnerships with industry, universities, and government agencies so that collectively, we can change the world for the better.

Licensing

We offer a variety of licenses covering the breadth of our scientific discoveries and technologies. There are a range of license types to meet the needs of the partners.  Example licenses include commercial patents, commercial copyrights and test & evaluation.

Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA)

We partner with industry, state or local government, universities, and non-profits to research and develop new technologies.

Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP)

We aid non-Department of Energy (DOE) Federal agencies, industry, state or local government, universities, and non-profits to accomplish goals that may otherwise be unattainable.
