2009 LDRD Day
Sandia's Laboratory Directed Research and Development Program celebrated its fourth LDRD Day on September 14, 2009, featuring five oral presentations and thirty-six posters of successful projects. These projects show evidence of both the breadth and depth of LDRD-funded scientific ingenuity, as well as of the significant promise that these projects hold for advancing Sandia's national security mission. VP and CTO Steve Rottler presented Awards for Excellence in R&D to seven principal investigators, nominated from projects that ended in FY 2007, 2008 or 2009. The afternoon poster session provided investigators with the opportunity to communicate with external attendees from both the corporate and federal agency sectors and to explore new, cross-disciplinary collaborations among themselves and with other Sandians.
