Biometric Health Screenings
As an employee, you can complete a Sandia biometric health screening to determine your risk level for certain diseases and medical conditions and to receive updated health numbers.
You can get a fasting or nonfasting screening. Measurements include:
- Blood pressure
- Body mass index
- Waist circumference
- Lipid and glucose levels*
*The non-fasting screening does not include all lipids or glucose.
You can complete your screening through Employee Health & Wellbeing services. To schedule a screening:

Health Check Assessments
Completing an annual health assessment allows you to evaluate your current health status, track progress and identify any potential setbacks. By pairing the health assessment with health coaching, you’ll be able to create a powerful strategy for heightened awareness and actionable steps that lead to improved well-being.
You can complete your Wellworks For You health assessment online.
You and your Sandia-health-plan-covered spouse can each earn $100 for your HRA or HSA the following year! You must complete your health assessment before Dec. 1 to earn funding for the following year.

Step 3: Schedule a Well Check
Well checks empower you to take further ownership of your health.
After you complete your health assessment, schedule a well check to discuss your results with a Sandia Employee Health & Wellbeing health educator who can coordinate your needs with onsite preventive health programs.
Be sure to bring a copy of your health assessment to your appointment. During your appointment, your onsite Sandia provider will work with you to:
- Discuss your health concerns
- Consider lifestyle changes
- Create a personal treatment plan
- Obtain referrals to onsite and offsite providers to better manage your health risks
