  • Abilities Champions of Sandia (ACS – formerly Disability Awareness Committee) helps Sandia employees understand the abilities that each individual brings to their position within the company. We assist, counsel, and serve as a liaison between candidates, visitors, and members of the workforce with disabilities, as well as employees with disabled children. We promote awareness and help build a culture of openness, trust and respect for everyone.
  • Advancing the Next Generation of Leadership Excellence – (ANGLE) is an employee-run group of Sandians dedicated to providing opportunities in career development, social engagement and public outreach for all employees.
  • American Indian Outreach Committee – (AIOC) at Sandia was established in 1979 to increase the number of all employee demographics at Sandia. They also strive to increase public knowledge about American Indian customs, heritage, art, traditions and technical achievements through a variety of events and activities.
  • Asian Leadership and Outreach Committee – (ALOC) provides leadership for the growth, development and full utilization of all employees in support of Sandia’s mission. ALOC was formed in 1988 by a group of interested employees for the purpose of furthering the interest and representing the concerns of the Asian American community at Sandia National Laboratories.
  • Hispanic Outreach for Leadership & Awareness – (HOLA) promotes community involvement and inspires career success for employees at Sandia by striving for equal representation at all levels, supporting all employees and students in reaching their full potential and promoting cultural awareness.
  • Black Leadership Committee – (BLC) serves the laboratories by providing leadership to employees in support of Sandia’s mission. The BLC also participates in identifying and recruiting qualified employment candidates and promoting cultural awareness at the Laboratories.
  • Military Support Committee – (MSC) engages all levels of the workforce to create and foster a military-friendly community and culture that supports Sandia’s mission. We support veterans, active military personnel, guardsmen and reserves, along with our non-military employees who have family members deployed.
  • Sandia Parents Group – (SPG) aims to foster a culture of work/life balance, build personal and professional relationships and give back to Sandia and our local communities.
  • Sandia Pride Alliance Network – (SPAN) contributes to an open, supportive and respectful environment for all employees at Sandia by raising awareness about the community’s issues; supporting outreach and recruiting activities; and supplying resources that address  workplace issues.
  • Sandia Women’s Action Network – (SWAN) serves as a resource to positively influence the work environment, ensure continued professional development and assist Sandia’s Organizational Culture and Employee Experience team foster fairness and psychological safety at Sandia.

Resources in California

The mission of the Sandia California Division Council (SCDC), which brings together the chairs of each California employee resource/networking group, is to help create and sustain a work environment where all Sandians belong and are valued. To accomplish this mission, SCDC leads by example, supports belonging at the California site and partners with the Sandia California executive management team.   • African American Outreach Committee (AAOC) cultivates a culture of belonging by supporting a multifaceted workforce through engagement, cultural awareness and learning that enables Sandia to dynamically meet the nation’s mission needs.
  • Advancing the Next Generation of Leadership Excellence (ANGLE) is an employee-run group of Sandians dedicated to providing opportunities in career development, social engagement and public outreach for all employees.
  • Asian Pacific Leadership Committee (APLC) promotes awareness and understanding of Asian cultures, values and accomplishments and creates a welcoming and supportive network at Sandia and the broader community. APLC reaches out to the community through volunteering, recruiting and networking with management. All staff members and contractors at Sandia/California are encouraged to participate in APLC events.
