Summary

Applies a contact mass flux via tied pressure formulation analogous to the tied_temperature energy contact enforcement models, wherein temperature is replaced with pressure and heat flux replaced with mass flux

Description

The numerical mass flux \hat{\mathbf{m}} at the contact interface is defined as

\hat{\mathbf{m}} = \frac{D_h}{2} \left[P \right] + \left\{\mathbf{m}\right\},

where \left\{\mathbf{m}\right\} = 0.5 \left(\rho_1 \mathbf{u}_1 + \rho_2 \mathbf{u}_2\right) is the average mass flux, \left[P \right] = P_1 \hat{\mathbf{n}}_1 + P_2 \hat{\mathbf{n}}_2, and D_h is the averaged darcy mass flux coefficient analogous to the contact heat transfer coefficient.
