\mu(\phi) = \mu_s \left(1 + 2.5 \phi_{max} \left(1 - \bar{\phi} \right)^{-1} + K_s \bar{\phi}^2 \left(1 - \bar{\phi} \right)^{-2}\right),

where \phi is the volume fraction, \bar{\phi} = \phi / \phi_{max} is the volume fraction normalized by the max volume fraction, \mu_s is the suspending fluid viscosity, and K_s is a model parameter. NOTE: \bar{\phi} is bounded such that

0 \leq \bar{\phi} \leq \frac{\phi_{tol}}{\phi_{max}},

where \phi_{tol} is the max attainable volume fraction.
