2016 DOE/OE Peer ReviewThe Dept. of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE), in conjunction with Sandia National Laboratories, hosted the 2016 Peer Review conference Sept. 25-28 in Washington, DC.
Research projects that receive financial support from the DOE OE are required to participate in regular peer review. The annual Peer Review serves as a platform to describe before science and engineering colleagues how the funded work met certain criteria. The objective of the meeting is to assess the following:
- Basic and applied research projects: their progress, valuable results, and innovations.
- Appropriateness of approaches and methods: logic, feasibility, soundness of how proposed and executed research is conducted.
- Competency of personnel and adequacy of resources: performance of investigators, and the suitability of research environment and facilities used to perform research and evaluate technologies.
