2015 Program Peer Review and Update Meeting

The DOE/OE Energy Storage (ESS) Program Peer Review was held Sept. 22-25 in Portland, OR, highlighting the breadth and diversity of the DOE Energy Storage program. The Peer Review was co-located with the 2015 EESAT Conference at the Portland Hilton and Towers.

Approximately 100 projects were presented, spanning electro-chemistry and materials development, component and system testing, economic and system analysis, and full demonstrations. More than 400 people representing multiply countries attended in 2015.

DOE’s Energy Storage Systems Program (ESSP) sponsored the four-day event, which featured projects from Sandia National Laboratories, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. ARRA, ARPA-E, SBIR/STTR, and university energy-storage projects were also presented.
