The bargaining teams met virtually three times today and exchanged counterproposals and questions and answers on several issues. Overall, according to Sandia’s accounting, there are currently proposals on 21 contract articles waiting on responses from OPEIU. Sandia is working on its responses to proposals from the OPEIU on six articles.
Currently, the OPEIU negotiators, led by an international representative in California, have agreed to meet again tomorrow and Sept. 14-16. Sandia has offered to meet every day, evening and weekend between now and when the agreement expires at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 22.
