Steve Wourms

Steve Wourms was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, where he earned his undergraduate engineering degree from Wright State University and his graduate engineering degree from the University of Dayton. Steve’s Government career began as a GS-02 Construction Inspection Aid. Steve’s career has been almost exclusively modeling and simulation oriented, with significant contributions in the areas of strategic nuclear arsenal analysis and air mobility analysis. His mobility analysis experience includes extensive strategic and theater airlift work for the US Air Force and Army, along with the French government. Steve was the initial program manager for the Simulation and Analysis Facility (SIMAF). After a short staff assignment, he returned as chief engineer to the SIMAF for its first couple of years of production. Steve’s current assignment is Director of Advanced Computational Analysis for the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), US Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and Director of the ASC Major Shared Resource Center.
