Keynote: System Software Requirements for Petascale Computing

Building a petascale system may be hard, but managing and administering such a beast is even harder. System software including the OS, runtime, scheduling, process management, and system monitoring all have serious problems at this scale. This talk will discuss these problems and potential solutions to the looming software crisis in petascale computing.
