Jen Evans provided an overview of the Arctic’s existing security environment including governance structures, state and nonstate stakeholders, ongoing international disputes, and climate change impacts on the strategic value of Arctic resources and territories. Evans is a PhD candidate at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a research associate at the Arctic Institute Center for Circumpolar Security Studies in Washington, D.C.
