Biography

I work primarily in the area of using high-performance computing and advanced mathematical modeling techniques to solve complex real-world problems. The application areas that I have worked in include material science, biology, computational geometry, and various national defense areas.

Education

B.S. Caltech (Physics, 1989), Ph.D. Purdue (Physics, 1994). I worked on material science and operations research problems as a research associate at Princeton before starting work at Sandia in 1997. Additionally, I spent 11 years in management at Sandia before returning to full time research in 2013.
