Senior Director & Chief Safety Officer
As the Human Resources and Communications Senior Director and Chief Safety Officer for Sandia National Laboratories, John Myers is responsible for ensuring that Human Resources, Communications, and Employee Health Services operate efficiently to provide key Labs services in support of mission delivery.
Prior to joining Sandia, John spent more than 25 years in leadership and consulting roles in Human Resources and Organizational Design. He joined Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal) in 1997 as a senior Organizational Design Consultant and since then has held a number of leadership positions. In 2015, he was named Director, Human Resources, for the Commercial Aviation Business, the single largest revenue-generating business in Honeywell’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Honeywell, John worked as an external organization design consultant, assisting companies in large-scale organization design and change management projects. John began his career as a criminal investigator with the U.S. Treasury Department in Cincinnati, Ohio.
John holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in organizational behavior from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. He holds a certificate in Lean Manufacturing and is a Six Sigma Greenbelt.
