Ed Sturms is sector vice president and general manager of the Global Services division of Northrop Grumman’s Technology Services sector, a recognized leader in integrated logistics; sustainment; modernization; defense, health, civil and government services; and training solutions.

Sturms is responsible for leading all Global Services business and growth activities and setting the strategic direction of the division. In this position, he leads a group of talented employees who deliver technically differentiated services to modernize and sustain mission critical IT systems, improve people’s health, and strengthen the security of the U.S. and its allies at home and around the world.

Sturms leads a business that operates in all 50 U.S. states and 18 countries. He has more than 30 years of domestic and international business leadership experience and maintains relationships with key agencies such as the U.S. Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Treasury and State; the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Disease Control; and the Social Security Administration.

Sturms has been at Northrop Grumman for more than 30 years. He began his career as a software development engineer, rising through various technical and managerial assignments to his current executive position. With expertise in program execution, he has been an executive at four of Northrop Grumman’s sectors and the corporate office, focusing on program management, business development and international system integration programs.

Prior to his current role, Sturms was sector vice president and general manager of the former System Modernization and Sustainment division at Northrop Grumman; vice president and general manager of the former Information Systems’ (IS) Civil division, leading an organization delivering advanced IT systems and public safety solutions; and vice president of Civil Solutions within the Cyber Solutions division of the former IS sector.

Sturms has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Richmond and a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
