David "DJ" Johnson is Vice President for the Federal Solutions Business Enterprise at Honeywell International, Inc, where he serves as the primary interface with federal customers and industry partners, leading integration of HON-affiliated sites to drive improved performance.

DJ provides governance leadership through chairmanship and/or membership on several oversight boards for the limited liability companies supporting the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Prior to his current position, DJ served as vice president and general manager for the Defense Systems Customer Business Team. His organization was responsible for overseeing the design, development, production and delivery of products and services that address the specific needs for Honeywell’s defense customers.

DJ has also held previous customer-facing business leadership roles, including vice president and general manager for Aircraft Engine Components, and vice president and general manager for the Space Business Segment with Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. (HTSI).

DJ came to Honeywell after 23 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. His distinguished Air Force career involved developing, acquiring and operating command and control systems, computers and communications systems, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

During his 23-year career in active duty with the Air Force, DJ operated dish and phased-array antenna sites in eastern Turkey and North Dakota, providing missile warning operations for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). He served on the Air Staff and the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, and was the Satellite Operations Chief at Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs.

In addition to his military expertise, DJ holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and master’s degrees from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, and the National Defense University.
