Distribution

CTH is Export Controlled software and is available for site license to U.S. Government agencies and contractors working under contract to the U.S. Government or one of its agencies. A Government Use Notice (GUN) that outlines the terms and restrictions of CTH use must be signed by an officer of your organization.

CTH distribution is covered for licensees working under contract to the U.S. Government through the duration outlined in their Government Use Notice.

Limited commercial licenses for CTH are available but will include a fee that depends on the number of users and sites. These licenses are negotiated on a case by case basis. Several non-U.S. sites have commercial CTH licenses under approved U.S. Dept. of State export licenses. Please fill out this form if you are interested in obtaining a CTH license. Contact cth-license@sandia.gov for questions about commercial or non-U.S. licenses.

The CTH distribution package is completely self contained and requires no additional pre- or post-processors. The distribution can be pre-built for Linux, Windows and Mac/OSX. Source code and make files for other Unix systems are available for trusted partners and require additional approval. For the pre-built Windows and Linux versions, software license keys are used to tie the executables to a specific hardware (for a default duration of 2 years).

If you would like to obtain CTH for use on a government contract you will need to obtain a current Government Use Notice with an assigned agreement number. To obtain the appropriate licensing paperwork, fill out this form.
