Rai's research spans areas in applied math, statistics, numerical modeling, simulations and uncertainty quantification with experience in development of computational and mathematical tools for modeling stochastic functions, inverse problems, scientific computing, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computational Aero-acoustics (CAA). He has contributed as a team member and coordinator for several research based projects at innovation centers and research laboratories across continents with grants from the governments of US, France and India as well as from aerospace industries. He also has over 192 hours of professional pedagogical experience in graduate level courses. He is fluent in English and French.
