Guidelines for Vendor Participation in the
2005 Arsenic Water Technology Vendors Forum

November 2-3, 2005
Albuquerque, NM - Sheraton Old Town Hotel

1. Why Participate in the Vendors Forum? [Top of page]
The Arsenic Technology Partnership hopes to carry out pilot tests of innovative arsenic removal technologies. The pilot tests will be fielded at different sites and will involve side-by-side tests of several technologies each. A technology could be evaluated at more than 1 site in order to evaluate performance under different conditions.

At the Vendors Forum, interested commercial vendors can provide presentations describing their technologies and can be interviewed by Technical Evaluation Teams. The evaluation teams will use a set of standardized criteria to rank the technologies and recommend several for the Field Trials.

Participation in the Vendors Forum is not required in order to be considered for the Field Tests, however, the Vendors Forum will be the primary means by which we gather detailed information about candidate technologies.

2. Registration [Top of page]
    Registration for the Vendors Forum:
You must register for both the Vendors Forum and the New Mexico Environmental Health Conference (NMEHC) in order to participate. To register for the Vendors Forum, fill out the on-line form by September 23, 2005. Updates to the information provided on this page will be sent to Registered vendors.

There is no fee for registration for the Vendors Forum, however, you must register for the New Mexico Environmental Health Conference by October 1 in order to participate in the Vendors Forum.

Registration for the New Mexico Environmental Heath Conference (NMEHC):

Vendors have two choices for conference registration. You can register as an Exhibiter, which includes admission to the NMEHC and the Vendors Forum or register for the full conference (October 31 - November 3). On the morning of Wednesday November 2, a related technical theme session will be held. The invited talks will describe the Arsenic Technology Partnership, other programs related to arsenic removal and recent research and analysis. See the NMEHC website for details on deadlines, prices, and conference activities.

3. Vendor Presentations: [Top of page]
During the first part of the Vendors Forum, interested Vendors will be invited to give a 15-minute presentation describing their technology for removing arsenic from drinking water. These presentations should provide background information that the Evaluation Teams can use in selecting the companies that will be invited to participate in the Pilot Tests.

4. Vendor Interviews by the Technical Evaluation Teams: [Top of page]
On the second day of the Vendors Forum, staff from interested companies will be interviewed by one or more Technical Evaluation Teams. During the interviews, the Technical Evaluation Teams will ask for information about the technologies in order to address questions that might have been raised during the morning Vendor presentations. Each interview will last about 30 minutes and will involve a three-member Technical Evaluation Team and one to three representatives of the company.

5. Evaluation Criteria: [Top of page]
Final evaluation criteria are being developed for the Vendors Forum and will be available during the week of October 3rd at this website.

The above information provides an overview of the Vendors Forum. Additional information will be available at this website during September.
