Finite Element Analysis - Space Shuttle Launch Vehicle Ascent Simulation
NASA Johnson Space Center

This Mach 1.25 shuttle ascent simulation was created using the OVERFLOW CFD code and uses an overset grid system consisting of 113 grids and over 16 million grid points. The vehicle's body is color-coded by pressure coefficient. Particle traces show the velocity field.
