Newton's Three Laws of Motion, third volume of the Principia

LAW OF INERTIA - Every object stays at rest unless an outside force acts on it. An object in motion will travel in a straight line unless an outside force acts on it.

LAW OF ACCELERATION - The outside force of an object is proportional to the direction and the increase in speed (acceleration) of the object.

Equation of motion, F = ma
m is mass, a is acceleration

LAW OF ACTION AND REACTION - To every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body exerts an equal and opposite force on the first body
