Professor Kosuke Kurokawa joined Electrotechnical Laboratory under Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1965 and had been engaged in research on HVDC transmission for 10 years and solar energy technologies thereafter for 35 years. He had been the Professor with Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology since 1996 till 2008 and is now with Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He has a lot of works mainly in PV system technologies, e.g., residential PV aggregation; Very-Large-Scale PV (VLS-PV) as Operating Agent of Task 8, IEA/PVPS since 1998; General Chairs for WCPEC-3, 2003; for Renewable Energy 2006 International Conference, 2006; Japan Council for Renewable Energy since 2007.
