Assessing security risk can be a challenging process. Every site is unique; but in today's global political climate, the common need to add or enhance security features has placed a heavy burden on the already strained budgets of government and commercial enterprises. Critical infrastructure facility owners and security risk managers need a mechanism to help them analyze facility information and make realistic and cost-effective decisions to protect their facilities against the potential consequences of malevolent and other hazardous acts.

Sandia National Laboratories will host a 2-1/2 day Risk Assessment Methodology for Critical InfrastructuresTM training course that employs classroom training and "hands-on" classroom experience to familiarize the participant with the RAM process. The classroom training is comprised of learning modules that provide the basic fundamentals and principles of security risk assessment. In addition, practical discussions provide the participants with application experience that enable them to apply the RAM back at their facilities.
