The PPC2005 Conference was a great success. Thanks to all who participated!

PPC2005 Registration Fees | Reduced Registration Fees | Free Introductory IEEE Membership

The Pulsed Power Conference has become the principal medium for communicating advances in pulsed power science, technology, and applications. The Conference Proceedings, published for every conference, constitute the most complete record of the accomplishments of the pulsed power community over the last quarter century.

Since 1997, the conference has been organized by the Pulsed Power Science and Technology Committee (PPS&T), a sister organization to the Plasma Science and Application Committee (PSAC) within the same IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Science Society (NPSS). PSAC sponsors the closely aligned International Conference for Plasma Science (ICOPS). This year we are holding the PPC immediately prior to the ICOPS in the same facilities to enhance technical interchanges between the two communities, with a short course on pulsed power-driven z-pinches spanning the intervening weekend.

Reduced registration fees are available for those who pre-register for both the PPC2005 and ICOPS2005. A complementary registration is provided to every exhibitor and corporate sponsor. A complementary six-month IEEE membership is also available for non-IEEE-members registering at the conference. More information on these options are provided below.

Reduced Registration Fees for Attendees of Both PPC2005 and ICOPS2005

To enhance technical interchanges between the Pulsed Power Science and Technology and the Plasma Science and Applications communities, a $100 reduction in registration fee is offered when you pre-register for both conferences before May 16, 2005. Please be sure to identify yourself as a multiple-entry registrant during the web-based registration process to obtain this reduction; the full amount will be deducted from the second conference fees.

Free Introductory IEEE Membership

In order to encourage participation, the Pulsed Power Science and Technology Applications Committee of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society is offering free half-year memberships to all interested non-IEEE members (including students) registering at this conference. This free half-year membership includes a subscription to both the IEEE Spectrum and the Transactions on Plasma Science. The regular cost of a full year's membership can be found on the web site: http://www.ieee.org. To receive your free membership, fill out a membership application at the PPC2005 Registration desk.

IEEE Membership includes:

  1. A subscription to Transactions on Plasma Science, a journal devoted to all aspects of plasma science and technology.
  2. A subscription to Spectrum, a magazine covering engineering topics of general technical, economic, political and social interest.
  3. A subscription to Society Newsletter with news items about the Conference on Plasma Science, the Particle Accelerator Conference, and the Symposium on Fusion Engineering.
  4. Eligibility to participate in a broad range of IEEE activities.
  5. Opportunities for IEEE educational services such as video-conferences and individual learning packages.

To join, fill out the special membership application at the conference registration desk. An IEEE representative will be available at the conference to respond to any questions or concerns.
